Jiao Yang Named Party Committee Secretary of Fudan

Jiao Yang, Vice President of the All-China Women’s Federation (ACWF), was named Party Committee Secretary (or Party Chief) of Fudan University on October 12. The appointment decision was announced by Zhao Fan, Director of the 3rd Cadre Bureau of the CPC Organization Department.

Born in Longkou, Shandong Province, in August 1957, Jiao studied journalism at Fudan from 1979 to 1983 and then earned a degree of MBA at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She joined the Communist Party of China in November 1976, and served as Deputy Secretary and Secretary of Fudan Youth League Committee from 1983 to 1986. She then worked as Deputy Director of Shanghai Municipal Information Office, Director of Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau, Director of Shanghai Copyright Bureau, Vice Minister of Shanghai Municipal Publicity Department, President of Shanghai Municipal Women’s Federation, Secretary of the ACWF and Vice President of ACWF.
