Professor; doctoral advisor

Cai got his D. Arch from Tongji University in 1990. At Fudan, he was Chair of the Department of Archeology and Museumology, and Chief of the Office of Academic Affairs. He has directed many projects of restoring the nationally and municipally important buildings, as well as some research projects of social sciences of Shanghai. He has published two monographs and more than thirty papers. As one of the "Outstanding Young Professors of Shanghai", he received a Bao Steel Education Award and a Shanghai Award for Talent Cultivators. He is now a member of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, Vice-chair of the Association's branch in Shanghai and a delegate to the National People's Congress.
