Established in 1988, the School of Continuing Education was expanded with the merger of the former schools of Adult Education of Fudan University and Shanghai Medical University, and the former East Shanghai College of Fudan.

Features:

Standardizing its administration and operation, the School offers multi-discipline education, in which all the courses are given by the faculty of Fudan University to guarantee their education quality. Bold in reform, the School is seeking an effective way for lifelong education, in order that all its students will receive adequate knowledge and be recognized by society.

Strategies:

The School is steadily developing evening education, and gradually reducing correspondence courses. It lays emphasis on undergraduate education, expands the section of self-instruction examinations, and tries to launch programs in new academic fields. Accumulating experience in practice, the School keeps adjusting its courses to real social needs.

Goal:

The School aims to break a new ground in continuing education by setting up a multi-layer, -discipline and -mode education system. Besides, it will offer more courses for further studies and short-term training programs, with the famous brand of Fudan. It seeks to cooperate with enterprises, governments and foreign universities.
