| The Research Association of Deng Xiao-ping Theory |
Established in 1994, it specializes in the studies
of Deng Xiao-ping Theory and its related disciplines. The
association often organizes investigations and other activities
to put the theory in full practice. |
| The Research Association of International Politics |
Established in 1986, the association conducts its
activities chiefly in the form of seminars and lectures, of
which the highlight is the Xie Xi-de Lectures of American
Studies and the Forum on Europe Studies. |
| The New Biweekly Society |
Established in 1994, the society aims at promoting
academic communication. It often invites well-known professors
to give talks on current issues, politics, history, literature,
and economics. It publishes a journal, Broad Vision. |
| The Accounting Association |
Established in 1993, the association aims to
improve its members' knowledge of accounting by organizing
lectures. Its signature journal is Fudan Accounting. |
| The Youth Law Society |
Established in 1987, the society conducts
activities primarily in the form of seminars, lectures, and
publications. Its purpose is to enhance its members' sense of
law and improve their legal knowledge. |
| The Life Society |
The society's purpose is to introduce edge-cutting
issues of life sciences, to promote and popularize knowledge of
the relevant disciplines, to encourage the general public to
understand and protect nature. The society carries out various
activities in the form of lectures, exhibitions, investigations,
experiments and poster shows. |
| The World Economics Society |
Established in 1995, it organizes lectures and
discussions on hot economic issues, investigations and research
projects, in order that its members may have closer contact with
society and economics and that they may advance with the world's
economic growth. |
| The International Finance Society |
It was established in 1998 and its aim is to
improve its members' knowledge about international finance. It
often organizes discussions on national and international
financial issues under the supervision of Professor Zhu Ye. |
| The Association of Social Studies |
It was established in 1988. Under the supervision
and guidance of the socialist, Professor Hu Shou-jun, it has
organized many visits, investigations, and lectures given by
renowned scholars. It encourages its members to delve into
society and know more about it. |
| The Insurance Association |
Established in 1997, the association aims at
popularizing the knowledge about and the importance of
insurance. Its main activities are visits to insurance
companies, and lectures (including the Ping¡¯an Insurance
Lectures). |
| The Society of Classical Poetry |
Established in 1992, it has organized lectures for
lovers of classical poetry to cultivate their interest and
broaden their horizon. Its journal, Tang Style, is a campus
literary publication for the promotion of classical Chinese
culture. |
| The Youth Illumination Association |
Established in 1993, its has been endeavoring to
enhance its members' knowledge about illumination technology. It
often organizes activities in the form of reports, lectures and
experiments. |
| The Society of the Humanities |
Established in 1990 with its predecessor being the
Society of National Learning, the society aims to promote the
spirit of humanism, popularize knowledge about the humanities
and accelerate the relevant studies and researches. It publishes
Common Sense and organizes Fudan Humanities Festival as its
signature yearly activity. |

| The Human & Nature Association |
Established in 1997, it encourages students to
understand and protect nature by popularizing knowledge about
nature, investigating natural scenery, and communicating
academic information. |
| The Environmental Protection Association |
Established in 1996, it aims at igniting people's
passion for environmental protection, enhancing the public
consciousness of environmental issues and popularizing knowledge
of environmental sciences. It also provides the students with
practices of environmental protection. |
| The Elocution and Eloquence Association |
Its purpose is to promote the art of language and
enrich Fudan's own culture. It often organizes debates, salons
and recitals, enjoying great popularity at Fudan and good
relations with other universities and associations. |
| The Sci-fi Association |
As a club for the fans of sci-fi stories and
movies, it often organizes discussions and salons. Making full
use of the Internet, the association regularly updates its offer
of the latest sci-fi works. |
| The Association of Management |
Established in 1995 and supervised by Professor
Han Zhong-he, it has conducted many case discussions and
academic salons to impart to its members advanced knowledge
about SOE management. |
| The Network Association |
Established in 1997, it provides Fudan's computer
fans with up-to-the-minute information about computer
technology. Now under the supervision of Professor Jin Jin-liang,
it concentrates on introducing the latest trends of computer
technology to its members. |
| The Tour Club |
Established in 1996, it primarily provides tour
information to Fudan students and organizes package tours for
them. |
| The Financing Association |
It was established in 1995, and its purpose is to
popularize financial knowledge on campus. It holds the Week of
Financing every year and often provides other forms of financial
trainings. Its crowning success is the Virtual Stock Market,
which helps the students to put theory into practice. |
| The Magic Club |
Established in 1987, the club works for the
students' improvement of English. It often organizes lectures
and performance, both of which are done in English. |
| The Association of Success Psychology |
Established in 1998, it introduces to its members
the scientific methods to tap their potentialities and realize
their dreams. Its activities include lectures and invited talks.
Mr. Li Sheng-jie, one of the top ten mental-shaping trainers of
Southeast Asia, was invited by the association to lecture at
Fudan, which made a hit then. |
| The E-jean Club |
Established in 1994, it stays in active contact
with the foreign students of Fudan and students abroad by snail
mail and e-mail. It engages foreigners to be its directors and
provides its members with golden opportunities of mutual
language instruction. It is virtually another window of Fudan to
the world outside. |
| The IT Club |
As a newly established association, it serves
Fudan students primarily in the areas of technology and
information and helps to construct the University's intranet. |
| The Association of Marketing and Advertising |
Established by several marketing majors of Fudan's
Management School in June, 2000, the association aims to tap its
members' creativity and provide practical opportunities for them
by integrating marketing and advertising. |
| The Future Association |
It provides job information and consulting
services for Fudan's student job-hunters. Besides, it offers
experience sharing and psychological instruction to help the
students know more about their future careers and gain more
professional advantages. |
| The Hand-in-Hand Club |
To help the unfortunate, it has organized a number
of charity donations since 1995. |
| The Century Securities Investment Club |
Supervised by Professor Huang Ya-jun, the club
grows vigorously and has over 110 members now. It broadens its
members' horizon and enhances their sense of investment by
organizing lectures on finance and securities investment. |

Established in 1998, it endeavors to
produce campus pop music by organizing music soirees and
conducting activities of reviewing the musical classics. |

since its establishment in 1981. |
| Yanyuan Troupe |
Established in 1998, Yanyuan has
performed more than twenty multi-act dramas and cultivated many
talented directors and playwrights. It has made great
contributions to the dramatic prosperity of Fudan. |
| The Club of Movie Critics |
Established in 1997, it organizes
movie viewings, forums and seminars, and issues Fudan Oscars
Awards annually. |
| The Painting and Calligraphy
Association |
Established in 1978, it provides
opportunities to the fans of painting and calligraphy for their
communication and improvement. The most influential activity it
has ever organized is the Shanghai College Painting and
Calligraphy Show, with the cooperation of other ten-plus
universities and colleges, including Shanghai Jiaotong
University, Tongji University and Shanghai International Studies
University. |
| The Guitar Club |
It has gradually recruited more than
50 members since its establishment in1990. It organizes
activities mainly in the form of basic finger training, lectures
and performances to provide opportunities for guitar fans to
exchange experience and show skills. |
| The International Standard Dances
Association |
Established in 1999, it popularizes
the international standard dances in order to elevate students'
deportment and to develop their ability of socializing. Its
regular activities include the training of Latin and modern
dances. Besides, as the initiator and leader of the Shanghai
College Dance Federation, the association also holds a dance
festival, which has its own charming features. |

Founded in 1981, the association grows full of vitality under the
instruction by Pro.Yang Zhi of the School of History. Activities are
mainly held in the form of communication. |

expand the development space for classic music and has been
awarded with the title of Excellent Association of Fudan. It
often organizes its members to enjor classic music. |

Established in 1981, the association
is full of vigor and vitality. Its members not only can learn
cool dancing skills but also are entitled to discounts of the
tickets for balls and gymnastics in the Multifunctional Hall,
and for various social performances. |

It organizes its members to enjoy,
study and create cartoon works.
Neo-music Club: Established in 1999, it is a young organization,
full of vigor and vitality. It concentrates on musical
performances and campus music production. |

Established in 1985, the club has so far held many
exciting football matches at Fudan University and other
universities. |
| Badminton Club |
Established in 1999, the club aims to popularize
the game of badminton and contribute to the mass fitness
program. Its activities include regular training, the Fudan
Badminton Elite Championship, ranking tournaments among the club
members and social activities with other universities. |
| Chinese Chess Club |
Established in 1983, the club provides amateur
chess players with opportunities to learn and practice
techniques. It often organizes dual meets in and out of the
University. "Chess for friends" is the tenet of the club. |
| Infinite Volleyball Club |
Its activities include four-player volleyball
matches, the University Student Tournaments of Shanghai, and
Fudan Soft Volleyball Championship. |
| Chess Club |
It was established in 1991. Its activities include
rudimentary courses, advanced courses, training and matches. Its
aim is to help its members to gain a more profound understanding
of the famous matches in history, to popularize the game among
the collegians, and to offer students with chances to play. |
| Karate Club |
Established in 1993, the club is guided by the
tenet of "Brotherhood, Health and Optimism". Its activities
focus on everyday training of karate. It invites a black-belt
coach as the chief trainer and regularly conducts studio
learning as well as promotion for and investigation of karate.
In 1999, the Karate Club was officially included into the
Shanghai Karate Federation and thus has been keeping up with the
news trends of karate sport in the world. |
| Martial Arts Club |
Established in 1982, the club aims at promoting
Chinese martial arts and popularizing the ABC about it. Its
signature activity is the regular training program, which mainly
features the tai-chi boxing of Chen's style and free-style
fighting skills. The club also organizes various interactive
lectures for the students. |
| Bridge Club |
Established in the early 1980s, it aims at
popularizing bridge and enriching students' life after class.
Its activities include routine training and games, introductory
courses, and lectures given by master players. It organizes
intercollegiate games. |
| Mountain Climbing and Expedition Club |
Established in 1998 as the first student outdoor
sports club in Shanghai universities, it aims at popularizing
wall-climbing and camping. |
| Skating Club |
Established in 1996, it aims at popularizing
skating in the University both as an entertainment and as a
profession. It organizes classified activities for student
members to enhance their techniques. |
| Table Tennis Club |
Established in 1994, the club serves the table
tennis fans and is open to all the teachers and students of the
University. Its signature annual event is the Freshmen Cup. |
| Tennis Club |
Established in 1991, it aims at popularizing
tennis and enhancing the skills of the Fudan players. Its
activities include imparting basic tennis skills, giving
lectures on tennis, and watching the National League Matches of
Tennis Clubs. |
| Football Fans' Club |
Established in 1998, it plans and conducts
activities for fans in the campus. It has organized members to
watch games of the National Association Football (Division A &
B) and the preliminary matches of the Olympic Games. |
| Baseball Club |
Established in 1996, it is the first baseball team
that was launched by students themselves in the Shanghai
universities. Now the club consists of teams for both genders
and a special training group. It stays in contact with Tsinghua
University, Peking University and Hong Kong Baseball
Association. |
| Go Club |
This club was established in 1983. Now under the
instruction of Mr. Chen Jian-xin, it virtually creates a world
of black and white in which go fans can efficiently communicate
with and learn skills from each other. It has organized a number
of contests to enhance its members' techniques. |
| Shaolong Boxing Club |
It was established in 1998 for the purpose of
promoting students' sense of athletics, with some national
boxing champions as the coaches. Its routine activities mainly
include intensive training and matches. |
