(1926-)As the vice president of Fudan University along with Chinese
Scientific University, professor Gu was elected the commissioner of
CAS (mathematic physics department) in 1980. Accomplished in partial
differential equation, differential geometry together with mathematic
physics equation, he composed several relative monographs such as
'mathematic physics equation'. In addition, he was awarded gloriously
national scientific decoration' and 'the secondary & tertiary award of
national natural science' thanks to his distinguished research
products 'mathematic structure in canonical field' 'non-linear
hyperbolic equation groups& omnibus partial differential equation' and
'classic canonical field'.
