Eligibility:
Student medical treatment is entitled only to the fulltime
undergraduates, junior college students, and graduate students
(excluding those self-financed students, carder students engaged in
specialized studies and students who are sent to Fudan by their
enterprises or institutions to be further educated).
Student Medical Cards:
Each of the eligible students, defined as above, will receive a
Student Medical Card from the School Hospital as soon as the
freshman registration is over. Serving as the license for medical
treatment and expense reimbursement, the Student Medical Card is
limited strictly to personal use only. The holders are expected to
keep it properly, which is not transferable.
Regulations of Treatment at the Appointed Health Care Providers:
The beneficiaries of the student medical treatment may go to the
appointed health care providers when necessary. The medical expenses
will be first paid by the students and then reimbursed with the
approval of the School Hospital. The appointed hospitals in the
vicinity of the Handan Campus are Changhai Hospital, No.1 Pulmonary
Disease Hospital, Shanghai Dental Clinic, Shanghai Mental Health
Center and Yue-yang Hospital. Those around the Fenglin Campus are
Zhong-shan Hospital, Hua-shan Hospital and the Obstetrics &
Gynecology Hospital. Students are not allowed to seek medical
treatment at the associated hospitals or other hospitals without
first getting permission from the School Hospital, or their medical
expenses cannot be reimbursed.
Reimbursement Regulations of Students' Medical Treatment Expenses:
When more than RMB 200 yuan (including 200) is spent on a single
item of physical examination, the expense can be reimbursed only
after the examination papers issued by the hospital get verified by
the doctors of the School Hospital. (Emergency cases are
exceptions.) A student who has any doubt concerning this will do
well to consult the Office of the Student Medical Treatment.
Otherwise he or she may probably fail to have his or her medical
expenses reimbursed. The Student Medical Card, the clinical transfer
document and other related papers (medical histories, etc.) are
required for the reimbursement. The expenses, within the prescribed
range, will be reimbursed upon the approval of the School Hospital
clerks. If any student patient is found to be gravely ill, s/he must
be sent to hospital as soon as possible. In this case, 120 is the
best choice to contact a first aid center.
Consulting Hours of the School Hospital:
8:00 am-11:30 am
1:30 pm-4:45 pm (1:30 pm-3:00 pm on Tuesday afternoon)
Doctors are on duty 24 hours every day.
