On April 25, Fudan University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) held the fifth Meeting of the Steering Committee for Cooperation between the two universities online.

The meeting centered on the progress of existing collaborative projects such as Fudan-CUHK Joint Research Center in Life and Biomedical Sciences, the Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Institute (SHKDI), and the double-degree program in tourism management. The meeting further explored the possibility of future cooperation between two universities.

Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK Rocky S. Tuan said, thanks to the cooperation and exchange mechanism of the Steering Committee, the two universities are able to carry out diversified cooperation projects in a more orderly way. The two sides have maintained close ties in education programs, curriculum, student exchange and internship programs. At the invitation of Fudan, CUHK has joined the BRICS University Alliance. Tuan said that he was looking forward to the in-depth cooperation between the two universities in major scientific research areas.

President of Fudan University Jin Li pointed out that CUHK and Fudan share a common mission to shoulder their responsibilities in the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and together they aim to make important contributions to Hong Kong and to transform it into an international hub of science and technology innovation.
