At the“Isle of Music”
on the ground floor of
the North Canteen on Handan Campus,
a black gloss grand piano started ringing out,
and filled the canteen with enchanting melodies.
The music seemed to have muted
noises of tableware colliding
and people chatting.
Those in a rush paused to listen,
and lifted up their phones
to record this wonderful moment.
To celebrate Teachers’ Day and Mid-Autumn Day, student members the Piano Society and retired Fudan teachers were invited to perform on September 10.
The first weekend concert was held on September 17.
Different from a fancy music theatre,
the campus cafeteria allows Fudaners
to share their passion for music
while enjoying good food.
