Fudan Int’l students wish you a happy Year of the Rabbit

The Year of the Rabbit is finally here!

As we welcome the Chinese new year with our families and friends, it’s also time for us to look ahead and embrace hopes.

Let’s read the warm wishes on Chinese New Year from our international students.

May the Year of the Rabbit also be the brightest and the happiest of all for you and your loved ones.

Looking back to my few months in Fudan University, my new life is full of excitement. The sound of firecrackers reminds me that it’s almost a New Year — Year of the Rabbit. Best wishes to my teachers and fellow students. May the joy of new year be with them every single day!

As a person born in the Year of the Rabbit, I cannot wait to start this year. I want to make good use of my time at Fudan University, meet more amazing people, study more and enrich my extracurricular life at the same time. Let us shine together in this new year and become a better version of ourselves!

In November I made the flight from Washington D.C. to China — eyes as wide as they were just after college. Luckily I’ve had Fudan there to get me up-and-running — swift as a rabbit, but one full of dumplings. Be it the generous and inspiring teachers or the fellow students helping me navigate databases and the canteens, there’s been a hand to help at each and every step, and sometimes to catch my fall.

I wish to extend my gratitude towards this splendid university, and I hope I might find a way to pass along the advice and assistance that’s been given to me over the years. May we all grow as speedy as the rabbit, as kind and curious—may we learn to wriggle our noses a bit more, and take a great breath as we leap into the New Year : ) : ) : )

The Year of the Rabbit is finally here. Let us laugh and celebrate together! It will also be my first Chinese New Year in China. How exciting! So let us immerse ourselves in the air of festivity, spend time with our family and friends, and enjoy the delicious food at the family renuion dinner.

To all Fudaners: Be brave. Strive for the present. You deserve an amazing year ahead. Step out of your comfort zone, but do not put too much pressure on yourself! Remember that the rest of Fudaners will always cheer for you!

It is that time of the year again where we get to celebrate the end of one year, and with a positive, upbeat spirit, begin a new one. The Year of the Rabbit brings us another opportunity to pursue our goals, dreams and everything that we hope for. May all of us achieve good health and wellbeing, make the most out of what we have, and most importantly cherish every moment with our loved ones in this new year. To all our amazing and hardworking teachers and all the staff including the “Baoans”, the “Shifus” and the “Ayis” working on the campus who have been doing a fantastic job of keeping our life at Fudan very smooth. Happy new year to all Fudaners!

Festivals in China are notable for their extensive inclusion and strong sense of community. I am appreciative of the chance I have been given to explore and discover China’s rich culture and traditions. The Year of the Rabbit will mark a brand-new beginning for China and the rest of the world. Now that the holiday season is in full swing, I wish all of my fellow Fudan University students, faculty and staff members have a happy Chinese New Year. As a member of the Fudan community, I was glad to see Fudaners help out each other during the trying time and I believe the year ahead will offer more pleasant circumstances for all of us.

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone! For some of us, this period is also the last Spring Festival spent in China, as we prepare for finishing our study programs and our time as students at Fudan. In any case, I hope that everyone will be able to celebrate a pleasant and harmonious Chinese Spring Festival, just as the local people do. The Spring Festival is centered around leaving the bad and old behind to welcome the new and the good. In that spirit, I would like to wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year of the Rabbit, hoping that the coming year will be full of new adventures and opportunities.

With the importance of keeping traditions alive and celebrated, we are bound to spend this year’s Chinese New Year surrounded by our families, friends and loved ones. The bonds we have made at Fudan University, with both international and local students, help embody much the same feeling as spending this meaningful time with our families.

No matter whether you are spending this year’s spring festival with your family, loved ones or just with your friends and classmates, I wish you the best of luck in the upcoming year, great fortune and happiness! Let the upcoming year be the most wonderful and memorable one so far and let our goals, academic ones in particular, come true!

I hope the new year is as lovely and lucky as a rabbit and may it be full of happiness and health. China gave me a lot of unforgettable memories and I am so grateful to be here this year. As COVID restrictions have eased up, I am starting this year by traveling around China. I can’t think of a better way to start it, it feels amazing to be able to explore all the different beautiful scenery and historical sites in China and try all the different cuisines. We all need to spend this special time with the people that we love, enjoying good food and fantastic firework shows.

The year of the Tiger was quite a hard year for many people around the world due to the coronavirus. I am glad to start the year of the Rabbit and one important characteristic of this animal is its curiosity and vitality. I hope that during this year, with travelling becoming easier, people in China and the rest of the world are able to demonstrate curiosity and vitality more than ever in cultural exchanges. I wish a happy Chinese new year to everyone, spend plenty of time with friends, family and loved ones and make sure to spread as much love as possible!

The Year of the Rabbit has arrived as we witness the resilience and courage of this wonderful nation. Happy Chinese New Year to all my fellow students, faculty and staff at Fudan University. From the delicious food and the colorful decorations, to the dragon and lion dances and the fireworks, there is so much to see and do. It is a unique and wonderful opportunity to learn more about the culture and traditions of this great country.

As we welcome the Year of the Rabbit, let us all work together to create a positive and inclusive community on campus. May this new year bring prosperity, good health, and happiness to us all. Gong Xi Fa Cai!

2023 is the Year of the Rabbit – the symbol of longevity, peace and prosperity, so I hope this year will be prosperous and successful for Fudan and for all Fudaners. I hope the coming year brings along new hopes and opportunities to everyone. May all Fudan students accomplish their targets this year. May this year motivate us to learn something new. And most importantly – I hope this year brings peace, safety and happiness to our world; good health to our loved ones, to people around us.
