On September 18, the Sino-Hellenic Higher Education Workshop was held in Athens, Greece, jointly organized by the China Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) and the Study in Greece (SiG). Representatives from 24 Chinese universities, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University, Nankai University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, as well as 15 Greek universities, gathered for cultural and higher education exchanges and discussions.
Xiao Junzheng, Chinese ambassador to Greece delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the importance of educational exchange and cooperation in Sino-Hellenic relations. He hoped that this exchange would serve as an opportunity for deeper and more practical collaboration between Chinese and Greek universities. Fang Yongsheng, vice director of CSCSE, and Christos Michalakelis, chairman of SiG, also delivered speeches at the event. They also signed a memorandum of cooperation on behalf of their respective organizations, laying a solid foundation for international exchange and cooperation between Chinese and Greek universities.
Fudan University was invited to participate in this exchange. Su Kui, director of the Fudan International Students Office, delivered a speech at the conference with the theme “Converge Global Power, Embrace Infinite Future”. She provided an overview of Fudan University, covering aspects such as academic and research, global engagement and impact. This event provided a platform for exchange between Chinese and Greek universities and greatly promoted cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education.
Along with other participating universities, Fudan also took part in the Study in China Exhibition organized by CSCSE.
Following the educational exchange activities in Greece, representatives from Fudan University attended the Münster International Education Exhibition in Germany from September 21 to 22, organized by CSCSE. They introduced Fudan University to local German students, opening the door for them to learn more about China. The Education Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Germany and the Deputy Mayor of Münster also attended and participated in the exhibition.
