Consul General of Luxembourg in Shanghai visits Fudan

On March 3, Consul General of Luxembourg in Shanghai Vincent Hieff visited Fudan University.


Hieff expressed his gratitude for Fudan's warm reception and pointed out that he was glad to participate in the online signing ceremony of the strategic partnership agreement between Fudan University and University of Luxemburg last December, hoping to strengthen cooperation in interdisciplinary studies between the two universities as soon as possible.


Vice President of Fudan University Chen Zhimin briefed on the history of cooperation between Fudan and University of Luxemburg. During the past year, the two universities have cemented a strategic partnership based on their previous cooperation on the Confucius Institute. The two universities will further cooperate in the fields of multilingual studies, public health and medicine, digital economy and law, green finance and green development, among others. It is hoped that cooperation in these fields can be launched within this year. Director of Office of Global Partnerships Lu Li’an also attended the reception.


Hieff also had in-depth exchanges with Associate Professor Lu Yihan from School of public health (1st on the right), Professor Xu Duoqi from School of Law (2nd on the left) and Associate Professor Li Zhiqing from School of Economics (2nd on the right), and hoped to explore prospects of cooperation in the three above-mentioned fields. Hieff said that the Consulate General of Luxembourg would provide support to the exchanges and cooperation between scholars from the two sides.


After the talks, Consul General Vincent Hieff visited Fudan’s University History Museum.
