The Fudan-Sinarmas Fellow Program, a prestigious initiative by Fudan University and Sinarmas Group APP (China), offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research, exchange ideas with leading scholars, and contribute to cross-disciplinary innovation.
Fudan Development Institute (FDDI), which coordinates this program on behalf of the university, is well-renowned as China's Top 10 Most Influential Think-tanks.
What You’ll do
1. Submit at least 1 paper during your visit
Research topics:
🌍 Belt and Road Initiative
🏛️ National Governance
🔬 Science & Tech Innovation
🤖 AI & Digital Transformation
🏙️ Urban Development
🌱 Carbon Neutrality & Green Transition, etc.
2. Engage with Sinarmas Group’s research needs and lead commissioned studies
3. Deliver at least 1 lecture at Fudan University or Sinarmas Group, and participate in seminars, workshops, and networking events
4. Work at the office at least 3 days/week, connecting with peers and students
Note that you are required to inform the program in advance when attending activities organized by other institutions during the visiting period, and add “Fudan-Sinarmas Fellow, Fudan University” as title. All the reports/ articles/ essays that the visiting scholar submits to the program may be selected and recommended to the program publishing partners.
Please indicate the support of “Fudan-Sinarmas Thinktank and Fudan-Sinarmas Fellow Program” in your submissions and ensure they do not cause any copyright conflicts.
Funding
1. Round-trip international economy class airfare
2. Living allowance: Assistant Professors (600 RMB/day, pre-tax); Associate Professors (800 RMB/day, pre-tax); Full Professors (1200 RMB/day, pre-tax);
Eligibility
✅ Indonesian nationals under 60 years old
✅ Faculty members at recognized universities or researchers at established institutes outside Chinese mainland
✅ Able to work seamlessly in English
✅ Available for a full-time research stay during April 2026 – June 2026 for at least 30 days
