Fudan wishes you a happy Mid-Autumn Festival

By Zhang Yang, Li Yijie

The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on September 10 this year. As always, Fudan canteens have made a variety of mooncakes for all students, faculty and staff to share with their friends and families.

Coffee Lava Snow Meiniang

The permeating aroma of Cappuccino along with the molten salted egg yolk lava is a unique combination that can leave you a lasting memory.

Cheese Snow Meiniang

This mooncake is such a delight for cheese lovers. Take a bite and feel the soft cheese wrapped around the gooey center against your lips. Your tongue will enjoy a very “smooth” journey.

Tie Guan Yin Peach Flavor Snow Meiniang

CUTEEEEE! The pink outer layer will immediately catch your eye! Cut a chunk and smell the aroma of the Tie Guan Yin flavor filling. When the sweetness and bitterness mingle on your tongue, you know what you are tasting is Chinese tea culture!

Mango Lava Egg Custard Mooncake

As if a symphony was performed in the mouth, fresh, juicy diced mango and molten salted egg come together to bring an unconventional and amazing texture. The balance is incredible!

Cherry Blossom Snow Meiniang

The pink, tender appearance reminds us the campus scenery during the cherry blossom season. Take a bite and relive that lovely springtime!

Egg Custard Lava Mooncake

A collage of white and yellow, just like the pale moonlight and the warm sunlight cast on the pavement. Sweet and savory at the same time, this mooncake leaves its fragrance will lingering in your mouth and your memory.

Red Bean Paste Mooncake

Mooncake is rich in symbolism, representing gratitude and togetherness, while red beans stand for devotion and affection. Try this classic mooncake with a cup of tea, while admiring the moon with your family and friends.

Pork Mooncake

Pork mooncake, undoubtedly one of the most classic types of mooncake, still remains popular among the Chinese. If you’d like to take a bite of the traditional ones, don’t miss it! The combo of soft pastry and succulent meat will take you back to our childhood!

May each and every day of your life is as happy and as bright as the Mid-Autumn Moon Festival. We give you our best wishes on this special occasion!
