About Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchange Cooperation Center
In July 2019, the Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchange Cooperation Center was launched in Fudan University, Shanghai, China, with the aim to promote common development of young people in the six countries along the Lancang-Mekong River as well as strengthen people-to-people exchange, higher education cooperation, youth innovation and entrepreneurship, cross-national social practice, and university think tank network in the region.
The Vientiane Declaration of the Third Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders' Meeting in August 2020 commended the Lancang-Mekong Youth Exchange Cooperation Center for its “highly efficient operation” and “fruitful outcomes” and recognized that the Center has “played active roles in advancing the practical cooperation”.
Even when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, remote learning is made possible through the Lancang-Mekong Youth Online Platform, an online platform jointly developed by universities from the six LMC countries and launched in March 2021.
