At noon on May 28, on the lawn in front of DanYuan Canteen, the “Journey to the World” Culture Customs Exhibition kicked off with great enthusiasm!

Nearly 30 booths from across the globe filled the lawn. Chinese and international students connected through food, music, and dance, taking Fudan faculty and students on a vibrant journey around the world. Regardless of nationality, everyone came together in a spirit of unity and celebration.

“To see what Fudan is made of,” said Mathias, a French international student, reflecting on the diversity and talent on display. “I’m very proud that my country has this opportunity to show itself,” shared Taya, an international student from Kazakhstan, expressing her joy at sharing her heritage with the community.

“Each country has its own scenery,” said Louise, a Malaysian student, appreciating the distinct beauty every nation brought to the exhibition. “I think this event is very fun and creative,” she added. Meanwhile, international students from Timor-Leste echoed the sentiment: “We can combine a lot of different cultures and learn about other cultures too,” highlighting how the event fostered cross-cultural understanding and connection.
